...Imagine a darkened stage. Lights come up. All you see is a drummer, off-centre. The beat starts. And builds - intensely. Not only is this drummer super-tight – but it’s clear that it’s a human not electronic drum machine - he also sings, chats, and from behind his wall of kit, gets the audience grooving to an astonishing mix that references electro, house, reggae, drum n’ bass, and disco with exotic ethnic touches. Suddenly dancers appear side stage. The story begins…

Oded Kafri

No ‘ordinary’ drummer, Oded Kafri have always had a passion for percussion instruments such as Marimba, Tabla, The Classic Snare and of course the Drum Kit.

Also a fan of electronic music, Kafri figured out how to fuse all of his music influences into a single melting pot called "The DruMachine Project".

Using a unique kit that includes ethnic percussion (and a water disperser bottle) together with electronic drums and computers, and adding live vocals, Oded brings the audience to heightened state of groove-awareness using techniques similar to a skillful DJ.

The DruMachine Project recently performed at London’s prestigious Koko club. The performance was filmed with four cameras and professionally edited. The Project will tour in Hungary in January 2010.
